The ending of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was very sad and powerful. Bruno ends up meeting the boy behind the fence of the camp, they become friends and Bruno wants to actually meet him and play with him. One day, Bruno decides to go on to the other side of the fence. This book is very impowerig and tells a good lesson it shows how curiosity leads into risks and sometimes we have to take risks to meet, or see people we love. This book also still relates today because Bruno decided to jump the fence for Shmuel, and even though it turns out it doesn't end good, it's worth it and people still take risks for their friends. If Bruno wasn't so curious he wouldn't of met Shemuel. Sadly he crossed into the camp mistakenly, but he still met him, so I think it's a valuable lessons, but not so valuable ending. The holocaust was a horrible thing, and there will never be a situation exactly like that, but it's still a good lesson.

Im reading the book the boy in the striped pajamas and right now this boy Bruno moves fronm Berlin to aushwitz because his dad works at a nazi commander for the camp.Bruno doesn't understand why he moved from his happy home to a dark and and hone that's so far away. Bruno doesn't now what his dad really does and one day Bruno look outside the window of his new house and sees kids and dads and uncles a and grandpas in this area that's fenced in and he dose t realize he is living next to a concentration camp, this is as far as I've gotten but there's many connections to this story. Like segregation and discrimination many people are still being discriminated against not as harsh as the holocuast but it's still here with all sorts of people and races. Recently there have been many protests dealing with discrimination and here's many kids out there who don't understand what's going on and how people are being affected by this. There has been many protest for discrimination and we need to stop it
The boy in the striped pajamas is set in the time period during ww2 and the holocaust. the book takes place in Germany next to Auschwitz. In the book Bruno one of the main characters dad is a Nazi commander so he is experiencing the Holocaust from the outside watching others experience it from the inside Bruno is confused at first but eventually understand what is going and what his dad really does for a living. This connects to the holocaust because not everyone was put in these camps and Nazi have families to so there family members can see whats going on in the inside, this book shows a different perspective of the holocaust, not just whats going on in the inside but what its like on the outside knowing there is nothing they can do to help.

An issue that is starting to gain more attention is school condition. When school condition isn’t well maintained it can interfere with education. This is a problem because students can be distracted by the interior or the exterior of the school. School Beautification can also affect how new students choose a school to attend. If the school looks unprofessional or old, people are less likely to send their children to that particular school. However, if the school looks peaceful and shows signs of honesty and trust, people will have a positive outlook on that school. Currently our school shows examples of school beautification within; a wall mural outside the cafeteria, cleaning the school on a daily basis, and maintaining the football field in a somewhat good way. Some specific items are school needs include; a renovated outdoor basketball court (Repaint Baselines/Sidelines, fix the mascot on the fence, put a school spirited graffiti image on the halfcourt), put a mural on the brick wall near carpool and in the performing arts hallway, and plant a garden in an open grass area. We are interested in this issue for many reasons. The interior/exterior view of a school can give a whole new perspective. More students will be enthusiastic about attending school on a daily basis. We as a group, believe that there are many possible methods to make our school a better place for all grades and individuals. Our community should care about school beautification for many important reasons. If a building is well maintained and looks nice, it is more probable that more students will attend the school. In our specific case, if more kids attend Martin, the businesses around the area such as; Bruegger's Bagels, Chick Fil A, and the Crabtree Valley Mall, are more likely to drag customers from our school. In order to build a proper educative environment it is important to look professional at first sight. Mainly because new 5th graders that are on their way to graduate, and attend our school, care about those small, but major things. School beautification is important because; it encourages rising 6th graders to pick our school, help us to focus in class more, and the school looks more professional from a visual view. School beautification is a big deal in our community. We want our schools to reflect positive things about our community. If our schools aren't clean, it can affect the way people view our school, and kids that go to the school. This has been a problem in many communities around the world for a long time and we need to start respecting and cleaning our schools. We need to show off our communities in a good way by cleaning our schools and making them look more inviting. This is a problem in our community because many kids learn better in a good, and clean environment. If the school looks run down, or not well maintained, kids won't want to go and their parents probably won't want to send them. The way schools look also reflects on what people think about our community, and if people see a school that's not clean or nice looking, it will show them that our community isn't a nice, clean place. Companies that are trying to move employees here won't want to come if the community isn't nice. If we take the time to beautify our schools, more people will want to come to our schools. There is one problem though, budget cuts. We don't have enough money to get all the supplies to beautify our schools. It costs a lot of money to add or clean things in our school. we don't have the time, the money,or even enough people. We need to get the whole school to work together to beautify our schools. We only get certain amounts of money to clean our school. One of the solutions is a School Beautification day. Many other Wake County schools have already implanted a day for School Beautification. Athens Drive has developed a seven year landscaping improvement plan that they have been working on since 2013, along with that, they have also painted a mural with in their school. Lake Wylie Elementary school has also had a garden made (with help from The Mecklenburg Farm Bureau) and they also made a tree planting day were they planted tons of trees around the campus. Gardens are another way to spruce up a school. Gardens make a school look lively and healthy , Other schools have made gardens for teaching classes, for food and for butterfly migration. School gardens can also help with other causes too, the Mitchell Math and Science Academy in South Carolina had harvested 400 sweet potatoes then served to the students at the academy. Walker Jones Education Campus has built a garden for the public to see, making the school look beautiful to the public. There are organizations that encourage schools and give grants to schools for School Beautification. American in Bloom lists plenty of grants for all kinds of gardens, public art, and tree planting. Artspace encourages school public art and NC State encourages school gardens. Overall, it's more of big organizations supporting school beautification and we need to keep supporting school beautification. Conclusion: Action Steps What task will be done? Responsible Who will do it? Resources What do you need to complete this step? (People, money, tools, etc.) Potential Barriers What could get in the way of task completion? How will you overcome them? Result What is the outcome of the task? Animal shelters are supposed to be a place animals can come and stay and wait to find a home but are animal shelters really like what they say they are? Many animals come to shelters sick and scared but do they get the help they need? If animals can't get adopted, they get killed. This is so cruel and should be stopped. Many wake county shelters are doing this and needs to be stopped. There are many things we could do to stop this like donating money to shelters and volunteering at the shelters and maybe even adopt a dog. This really affects me because I love animals and I hope more people will start volunteering and adopting. People should care about animals because they deserve homes too. People need to care about others including dogs many animals are being killed and not getting a chance and everyone deserves a chance in this world.
Bullying is an issue everywhere but recently there has been many cases of bullying in my community. At a local school in Wake Forest a kid got bullied and had his backpack pulled back and he was pulled backwards very violently. Many people get bullied across the country and its a horrible thing this really makes me mad because you don't know the kid outside of school you just judge them from what they look like which is horrible. People need to think about others and how their lives get affected by this.Several kids across the country kill themselves because of bullies.Bullying affects many families and there kids in our community. We need to stop it, one way we can stop it is to inform kids in the school about bullies and bullying and do activities to help them know how to deal and what to do in this situation and maybe bring other kids from schools to help teach them about bullying and how to prevent this. We need more people to do stuff instead of just watching it or hearing about it on the news many lives are affected by bullies and we need to stop it.
